Five on Five point five lug pattern

Post by greenies72 »

I am looking into the possibility of some later stock Ford mag or styled steel type wheels for my '71. Can anyone tell me which years have the 5 X 5.5 lug pattern?

as long as you stay away from the early 80s f150s i think you can go pretty far up in years.
there were some used on those f150s that i remember would not fit.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

Yeah, there are some early to mid 80's F-100's that use a 5x4.5 bolt pattern like a passenger car. Other than that, well up into the 90's will work. I had a set of aluminum wheels on my 72 off of a 96 F-150 for awhile with no problem.

Thanks guys, that's good info. It sure would be nice if all the people who post on Craig's List would list bolt circle, application, etc. wouldn't it? :-/

5x5.5 lug pattern up 'till '96 when for the '97 redesign it switched to 5x130mm.

Other than the ranger/explorer I'm unaware of any fullsize truck with the 4.5" pattern. No FSB or F-150 had it, maybe the F-100 but I don't think so.
