Rattlecan Deluxe! I wonder how many genius people have actually done that after reading the article. The author should tell all the automakers about his brilliant rust proofing idea. Maybe dealerships will start offering "Underbody Spraybomb" as an option before delivery.

If you don't want it to rust, Wash the SOB!!! Take care of it.

Washing won't keep it from rusting. Bare metal rusts.

You shouldn't have much bare metal under your truck. It was all painted at the factory. Around here roads aren't salted. If you keep an old vehicle clean and the carpet or floormat dry it will never rust.

My point is keeping a vehicle rust free is work. The authors idea that this magical $35 spraybomb fix is a cure-all for future rust problems is ludicrous.

I think its a great utility product and it does hold up to abuse, I dont care what some say metal on a vehicle will rust at a reasonable rate if it is driven at all even no salt enviro. metal will fatique and that will cause rust, even autos that are in a museum need some attention after some years and there in a controlled enviroment at that. Im not saying that you should go out and buy cans of paint to stop rust but it does have some merit for the purpose it will serve. jmo
