one of the reasons i dont like those wheels.
supposed to be a metal piece on the back of the pad i think.i am going out to the bus because i have to get a 72 column ready to ship so i will investigate the wheel and pad and refresh my memory as to the how and why.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

what year of column did you say? the 70-72 born pads can be dirty between the contacts. or have a bad wire that is corroded. the 67-69 require a small pin thing on a spring that makes contact between the horn button and the metal ring under the steering wheel.

70-72, and im' guesing 73-79 also have the same spring ring thing. And if somebody didn't know it when they removed it to fix the turn signal switch or to replace a broken wheel, it may have popped out.

if yours is missing or just the rubber pad part is brok it won't work.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
