Quick update... the truck was loaded up yesterday and is now on it's way! Should take about 10 days.

Of course, for the first time all winter the temps here have dropped into the 20s and single digits at night, and we're expecting a few inches of snow. Figures!

I know what you mean about needing help. The only thing I ever did to brakes was bleed and change pads. I had to look at keith's tutorial about 50 times so far and still a little unsure about it. After you read it several times it starts to look pretty simple. I know when I do my brake swap
I'm gonna have some issues, but with the help of this site I'm almost certain they will be minor.

If I can do it you can too

Yeah... I can do some things, I'm sure. I'm just not so sure about power steering, brake boosters, etc. I've found a mechanic to work with, so hopefully he'll work out. Sounded like a nice guy that knew his way around the (big) block.

I looked into buying a Chilton service manual for the truck, but apparently they don't go back that far for our trucks.
