Painted Decals

Post by $500F100 »

The previous owner spray painted the SportCustom emblem black on the bed of my truck. I guess it was to much work to remove them prior to painting the bed with krylon. Is there any way to salvage them? Am I doomed to buying aftermarket or hunting for another original set?

I have a set that I don't need. You can have them, there are in good shape, donate what you think is a fair price to the site and pay for shipping. Let me know. pm if interested w/zip code

You could remove them and spray them with spray bomb stripper.I think oven cleaner might even work. Then wash them off with water.

Chrome cleaner or rubbing compound will take the paint right off those chrome emblems without scratching them.
