I have a question about the VIN tag on the Door, Is it the right kind?? I know the info on it doesn't match the truck, but does the tag look right? It looks a little hoaky to me. :o

It looks like the VIN plate has been sand blasted or "cleaned" some how. It has the right rivits in it.

It's possible it was just painted over, so a previous owner used some paint remover to clean it up, which would have also removed the 'silk-screened' labeling on the tag. My tag's been painted over too, and will look like yours once I get around to getting it cleaned up.

That bouncing avatar sure makes it hard to read your posts man...

I actually had 2 of them wiht my 69 4x4 that i used to have. I had the door plate and then while cleaning it up a little, I found another complete plate stuck in the drain hols under the driver's fender...really neat.
