My one lamp socket that came from a 69 grill has one element. In my attempt to replace the grill with a 69 that is all I could find. Someone had put a 72 grill in my truck

Interesting, so your '69 grille had turn signals only and no parking lights. Maybe somebody had already changed out the sockets and put in single element ones? There should have been two wires in the harness running to the socket, one for parking and the other for the turn signal.

I don't have a 69 grill I have the lamps assy that came from a mangled 69 grill that is all I can fnd down here.

I have a 72 grill and it has two and I agree the diagram shows two elements for 69.
