Front brake hose lesson

Post by wildcard »

Went to change a hose this weekend and found out Auto Zone only keeps 1 in stock. And the first one had a coarser thread than the threads in the cylinder. The second one fit ( had to go to a different store )even though they had the same part #. Also had to take the brake cylinder off and screw the hose on and feed it back through the plate because when trying to screw it on otherwise, the shoulders where you put the wrench were hitting the tie-rod bushing.
Hope this helps save someone a few headaches someday.

i just did the front brakes on mine, and I loosely screwed the screws in and connected the brake line, tightened and then tightened the wheel cylinder. (just another option)
