How much should I give?

Post by mjhaltom »

What is a reasonable price to give for a PS setup at a pick and pull? I know where I can get one off of a '72 F250 Camper special. Parts would include sector, pump with cooler, pitman arm, brackets and steering column (an automatic that I can't use).

Or Can I use it? I wonder if I can get a smooth collar and put it on that column to use with a floor shifter? Any Ideas? What is all that worth?

You have to be specific on exactly what components your getting. A good junk your rate usually will let you take the main gear for 40/50. The pumps range from 20-30 depending whether your taking the hoses which you shouldn't unless they still have tags and are clean. The steering shaft should leave for 15-20 buck.......These are CALI prices anyways. Hope I helped.

around here at the normal priced yards you will probably pay around 50.00 for a column. it could be 75- 125 though. steering boxes probably 50.00-75.00 for a good saginaw box would be ok. new i think i have seen them for 125.00 the pump 35.00 at the most. 25.00 would be better. i would not pay 50.00 for just the pump with or without the cooler.
