Headlamps Switch

Post by hiiamthomas »

My headlamps are acting up.
The low beams wont come on..and the high beams work but go on and off..i think it is the switch on the floor. Because if i would hardly touch it and they would go off.
So no low beams would this be because of the switch on the floor?

The headlight switch has a built-in circuit breaker. Sounds to me like you've got a short somewhere in the headlight circuit, tripping the circuit breaker in the switch. You might want to start tracing wires and making sure that they're in good shape and not shorting out somewhere.

you can't see the breaker. its internal to the switch. most possible places that i can think of would be wgere the wires go to the floor switch, through the fire wall or where they go through the core support. all of those places would be possible wear or rubbing possiblities. i would think it would be near the floor switch. that plug can get corroded after a while.
