re: front tire size?
I've had 8" wide rims on the front of my '69 and '67(both 2wd). Don't like the wheel sticking out, so I switched to 6" with big 70 series tire on it(like 215 or 225).
Bump'n along.

re: front tire size?
I have a set of 20" x 10" American Racing Torq Thrust IIs on my truck. They are wrapped with 275/45r20s and I have full steering travel to the right, I have minor rubbing between the tire and the radius arhm when at full lock left, which I rarely find.
I am at stock ride height on a 1968 F100 with this setup.
I have 4.5" or 5" backspace on the fronts and 3.5" backspace on the rear.

re: front tire size?
thanks i just mounted my two 275x60x15 tires on 15x8 w/3.75 bs ultra type 61 wheels. I planned on putting them in the back but they fit perfect in the front. so now im thinking of 15x10 in the rear. dont know what size rear tires yet.

You know, I'm not usually a fan of large diameter (18"-20"+) rims, but those look DAMN good on that truck, benm78!!benm78 wrote:I have a set of 20" x 10" American Racing Torq Thrust IIs on my truck. If you plan to do 10" wide in the rear you will need backspacing like I mentioned (3.5") to make sure that you don't rub the inner fender well or the wheel well lip. I had to order my wheels with custom BS, as they do not typically stock em with such a radical offset.

benm78, dam that is a great looking truck!
You know, there are two types of Ford trucks.. Red ones and blue ones.
Finally decided I like the red ones best.

I hit my left radius arms on my 350 with stock rims when using 235/70*16s
