Ran across this add. Would this wheels and tires fit my 1969 F250.
235/85/R16 came off 8 lug 3/4 ton powerstroke.

Right, 235/85-16 is what I'm running too. That's a stock size for the "newer" 3/4 and one tons. I just saw the pics of your truck though and I rather like the way it looks with the "beefier" size that's on it now.
Powerstroke started in 1994.5 and used the older wheels for some time, so you need to find out what year they actually came off of.

re: Tire Question
97 and older has the old pattern and the 98 (superduty) and newer has the metric. They are just enough different that they won't fit. Same with the duallys
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

re: Tire Question
I run 265/75 R16 on my '96 F250. They are the same diameter, but wider than the 235/85 R16. They are also load range D, not E. For my use the few hundred pounds of capacity isn't a problem and I think they look a little better. I think they were an optional OEM size back in '96.

Re: re: Tire Question
That's the size my buddy has on his 97 F-350. Had I known that, I'd have gotten that size when I got new tires. His are E load range though.FLATBEDFORD wrote:I run 265/75 R16 on my '96 F250. re: Tire Question
I have BFG All Terrain. When I bought this set, 3 1/2 years ago they were only available in load range D. I think they are available in E now. Back to the original topic, As I understand it Ford 8 lug 16" wheels are interchangable from our trucks through 1997 (or was it '98?) when the Superduty came out with the metric bolt pattern. And some Dodge too I've heard.

Re: re: Tire Question
For sure ch*vy 8lug do. If the BFG all terrains weren't backordered when I got new tires, I'd have gotten them and they do come in E range.FLATBEDFORD wrote:I have BFG All Terrain.
