Mine is only 8300ld GVW. But I just bought a complete set of helper springs from an 80's F350. Everything will fit I just need to get some longer U bolts. Next I'll have to figure out some shock mounts.

My '72 F-350 is listed at 12,000 GVW. has a full rack of leafs with a rack of four helpers on each side with rear shocks.
Mine was also a Canuck assembled truck and imported as an incomplete vehicle.
Someone here in WI put the flatbed, (12 ft) and cattle box on it.

Is yours a long wheelbase? 12,000 wow. I can't believe mine is only 8300. My '96 F250 is rated at 8600 with single wheels. My truck has a Ford factory fltbed, 9'x7' with removable sides.

Hey Flatbed, now that we have tottally high-jacked this guys thread....
Ya, longer wheelbase, 159 inches if i remember right. Mine is also DRW.
Drum brakes front and rear. Dana 70 series rear end. Frame extends all the way to the end of the bed, no add-on supports.
My kids call it 'THE BEAST'.

We should start a new thread to talk HD bumpsides. We are the minority here. Maybe we could have our own area here.
