Help with NP435 yoke seal..

Post by 67highboy »

I am having trouble locating a rear output seal. Here is the story...
I swapped in a 435 out of a 73 highboy into my 67 when I rebuilt the motor.
I bought a rebuild kit from jeffs bronco graveyard and I rebuilt the trans, all the parts fit with the exception of the rear yoke bushing and the seal.
The bushing and seal that came with the kit are way to large and the only place I found that lists two different sizes is auto zone and they say the smaller of the two is unavailable :? :?
I know I could find the seal with just the dimensions but I would really like to change the bushing as well since everything else is new :( :(
any info on this phenomenon would be greatly appreciated

John

So what's the size that you need? What other auto parts stores have you checked for availability?

I will measure tomorrow and post it.
I have tried advanced auto, autozone, napa, and murrays.
I have the tag off the trans still I was thinking about checking the dealer
