Will an older Lightning wheel/tire package fit my 70 F100?

Post by hellakornhaus »

As the title says, will an older wheel/tire package from a Lightning fit my 1970 Ford 100 (2wd), without any fitment problems? I love those wheels, and would like to purchase a set.

Also, for my furture reference... what is the bolt pattern for my truck? Is is 5 x 5.5?

Thanks,

Don't know about the Lightning wheels, but the bolt pattern on my 70 is 5 on 5.5.

My understanding is 96 and older will work on the half ton trucks.

So anything pre-96 should work? Or do you mean anything 96 and up (96-06)?

Up to 96. One year they sold both Body styles can't remember if it was 96 or 97, but the square truck will work, the round truck won't.

After 96 (96-200?) use a metric pattern.

Good. Because I love the '95 style wheels. So those should fit without any problems! YIPPY!!! Exactly what I wanted to here.

Now to start saving!
