Yes, they are pointing staight from front to back. However, they do follow the curve of the front of the cab. The 7 1/4 from the drip rail is the same for all the lights. Here is a drawing I whipped up.

The first thing I did to my first truck (72 F250) at 17 was to install those lights. I like them set closer in the middle as well but all the factory/dealer installed ones I've seen are equally spaced. The holes in the mid roof brace help locate the middle light.

Yes mine where like that only i think my middles where closer to the center light. But the way longbed showed you looks good.

As does my 69. They are factory. I think different plants did it different ways. My truck is a San Jose truck, how about your's?
