Starting today.......

Post by lazyj70 »

My 70 XLT SWB went to the body shop to day. Here is a before shot. I will post the after shot in a couple of weeks. I can hardly sleep......

Thanks 71LONG BED. It should be really nice. I have all new moldings, new grill frame and inserts, new emblems, and a set of 15 x 8" reverse Cragar S/S wheels with 275-60 BFG tires. So if it turns out bad I will be one sick dude.

Good luck on the project. Hope it all turns out. That is a good looking truck as it sits.

Must be something that doesn't show in the picture, sure looks good to me. I would be proud to drive that truck anywhere.

I'm with them it looks good the way it is but I'm sure we could all use a facelift. Are you sticking with black again or did you choose a different color?

Yeah, I'm sticking with the black. I actually bought this truck off this site. That's how I stumbled onto this awesome site. Anyway, The inside of the truck is perfect and all original, so I don't want to mess with the inside and screw something up. Checked out you dentside. Nice Truck. 79? I had a 79 F-250 and did the complete restore. Later sold it to my bro-in-law and he trashed it. :cuss: I was pissed even though it wasn't mine any more. Worked my ass off on that truck.

It's a 77.5 so same as the 78-79's except for the gill and minor things you know. I used to hate the dentsides but I have somehow grown to love anything between 67-79. I have big plans for the 70 and 77, hopefullyin the next year they will both be near complete. Sucks when you see your hard work go down the drain. I sold my 69 2wd to my little brother and he tore it up a little and he eventually sold it to one of my best friends that babies it and hopes to fix it up a little, so it ended up in good hands. He is still mad at me for not selling it to him to begin with.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
