Sliding rear window with Chrome installed.

Post by Big D's 69 »

Ok I have looked in all the parts catalogs and can't find a reproduction rear window gasket that is for a sliding rear window and the chrome installed. My 69 Ford has a sliding glass and the chrome. Any ideas if they come this way or if someone just made it work from a chrome weatherstrip and a sliding rear window.

I don't believe there's a separate (different) gasket used on sliding rear windows, is there? :hmm:

Well all the catalogs that I have seen list one for a sliding rear window with no chrome or a solid glass with chrome. I don't know for sure but mine has both and was just wanting to know if I buy one will it work. My truck has perfect front and rear chrome but don't want the front chrome without the rear. My Father in law done his 67 and went with no chrome cause they say it want work. Just wanted a professional opinion.

The gasket on my back glass (with chrome) will fit both. BUT I'm not sure my slider is factory.
