Cragar S/S wheels

Post by lazyj70 »

I wanted to put some Cragar S/S 15 X 10 wheels with 275-60-15 tires on my truck. My wheel guy says since my truck has a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern the only 10" wheel in that style only has a 2" back space. He says I will not be happy with them. He wanted me to get the 8" wheels with a 4" back space. I wound up ordering a 8" reverse with a 2" back space. I want a "Deep Dish" wheel. Did I do the right thing? Also is my wheel guy right. I would really like to have the 10" wheel, but don't know aout the back spacing. I need some help please.

I believe what you want is is a 4 inch backspace whether it's 8 or 10 inches wide. That would give you 4 inch dish in the front and 6 inch in the back (if you have a 2wd)

THe problem is that the only way to get a deep dish wheel in that style is to have a 2" back space. They make a 4" back space in a 8" wheel but it is not aq deep dish wheel. So I ordered the 8" with a 2" back space. I just hope it don't make the truck look like its on roller skates.
