Metal tab on cowl - What is it?

The F250CS I just got doesn't have one. I'm going to run a ground wire. I doubt that will help much with the radio though, since the antenna's broken off at the base!

I think I still have the tab from my donor truck. Ill take a look for it this week-end. Maybe Ill find my horn button while Im looking.

That's OK. A piece of wire will do the job.

I've been on vacation and just got back and saw this post. The tab is included in the original radio kit for the F-Series trucks. It is supposed to keep static out of the radio. I imagine it will serve as a ground for the hood also.
