Back glass in backwards?

Post by Sharkdance »

I think I put my back glass in backwards.
Shouldnt you be able to read the Ford emblem embeded in the lower center of the glass from the outside of the truck?
The other day i noticed that it faces in, not out.
This might seem like a Duhh moment for some, but I didnt pay attention to inside or outside faces when I installed it. I just tinted the best surface of the glass and installed it with the tinted side in.
The glass is in (I dont wanna take it back out) and tinted so Im sure that I am the only one who would notice this. But my question is this:

Does it matter which way the glass goes in?
Is there any safety dangers due to having it in backwards?

Yes, you have it in backwards, but no, it doesn't matter. That's safety glass which will shatter into little glass nuggets if broken, regardless of how it's installed. I wouldn't worry about it.

kinda odd for the outer surface to be the best for tinting but cool anyways. Only way i'd worry was if i was auctioning it off(it'd drive auction price down a little) Or going to a professional judging contest.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Thanks for the quick answer Keith. I didnt think it mattered either. But just wanted to ask.
Imagine my look of self-embarrassment when I discovered that I put it in backwards. That was a forehead slapper.

rjewkes,
Im not gonna worry about it. Like Keith said. It dont matter.
Plus Im not building a show truck. Just a daily driver.

SmokeyBear,
   OMFG!!!!!!!! Thanks for warning me!!! You saved my life! I owe you dude.
Maybe you should come get it out of my yard before it does blow up? You could save my whole neighborhood.
