keith (and others): i thought there was a tech paper several months ago on how to replace your slab rear glass for a sliding rear glass.
i looked over all the tech papers and couldn't find it. do you still have it or am i just dreaming?

No, there's never been a tutorial on that, though one of the forum members posted some pics of how he did his.
I don't recall who did that, and can't find it in a search, but here's a couple links to posts on glass replacement:

re: tech paper on rear glass
cjs_72F250. First off this is a 2 person job. We put the new gasket on our new sliding rear window. Then we put a stong nylon string in the groove on the gasket that fits the rear window opening on the cab. My son held the window up to the back of the truck cab and pushed it against the opening lined up as good as he could. I was in the truck and started pulling the string out at a 90 degree angle to the window and it just eased into place. I had to do some final adjustments but with it 95% in correctly this wasnt to difficult. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck.
