Disc Brake master cylinder

What side should the lines be on as the exit the master cylinder? On the drum brake trucks they seem to be on the left (the inner side). On the 79 F100 m/c, they are on the right side (engine block side). Is this typical? Is there a different master cylinder I should be using?

I've seen them both ways. It used to be that drum-brake MC's exited on the left side and disc-brake MC's exited on the right, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Just make sure it's correct for the donor vehicle's disc brake setup and you'll be fine.

On my 69 F350 the lines are both on the outside no matter what Master Cylinder I see. The disc brake and drum brake master cylinders have different size chambers but everything else is the same.

My Dad's 69 F-100 240 ci 4 spd had the same cylinder as my Boosted Drum brake.

According to my National Parts Depot catalog the Right side exit is alike 87 and later.

I am going to use this M/C. I rebent the lines to fit it.

So we can't use our 67-72 drum MC and booster if we upgrade to 73+ disc?

You can use the booster, but NOT the MC. Disc brake MC's are different from drum brake MC's. When converting to disc, you have to use a disc brake MC to keep the balance correct, to keep your rear wheels from locking up prematurely.
