Helper spring removal

I read in the tech tutorial that you could potentialy gain an inch drop. Is this true anyone out there done this. I am planing to use a 2'' drop hanger and remove the help spring as well. I want to even out the height of my truck nothing fancy.

the rear is a little higher so when you have it loaded is rides level. they design the trucks thal way. so when they are loaded the front isn't pointing up at the sky.(which can ber dangerous)

If you aren't going to load the truck you probable only need 2 or 3 leaves and a good set of shocks to have a decent ride. Depending how soft of a ride you want. The thickness of the springs that you remove alone will lower it more than an inch. Plus the sag you'll get now that there are less leaves. How far it will go depends how worn the leaves are.
